Jonathan Groves

 

Born in Oklahoma but raised in South Florida, Jonathan (surprisingly!) feels most at home in the beautiful bluegrass with cows in his backyard.  After attending Asbury University (where he met his beautiful and wonderful wife), he moved to Louisville to get his Master of Divinity.  Now he and Kristen have been married 5 years, have a one year old monkey boy named Aiden (and a three year old Great Dane named Paisley), and feel so blessed to be serving at Lewisburg Baptist Church.

 

Jonathan loves to read in his spare time, and some of his favorite authors include John Steinbeck, Graham Green and AW Tozer.  He also loves to work on his car and is more that willing to try his hand at a little farming (or gardening) next spring.

A Heart of Service

The heart of Lewisburg Baptist Church can be most clearly seen in the many volunteers who give of the time and abilities God has blessed them with.  From planting flowers to teaching Sunday School, deacon and trustee leadership to nursery volunteering, the focus is that God may be glorified and that the Gospel of Jesus Christ may go forth.  This body is made up of many members with many gifts, but they bring glory to their maker by moving forward with one purpose: the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
